last youth service 2008

at times, i felt like writing out my feelings, telling someone how i truly felt or acting on things to which later i'll regret but i realise now that most things should be kept inside, for God to grow His wiseness in those feelings/thoughts & emotions

i'm a little more aware & awake than i was at the start of this year, a little more receptive, a little more logical, a little more shrewd, a dose of calmness, and a new level of steadiness to accomplish things

chingay was warm, beyond warm even the water that was poured on the gravel started to bubble after 3 seconds, my average temperature bottled water morphed into a heater-like condition substance that started to taste sticky and damp instead of refreshing and cold

expo hall 9's freezing temperature and my cold showers were never so welcoming and loved ever since today, i yearn, they yearn, he, she, it, all yearned i'm pretty sure even the flys there were cooling off in the auditorium, even though everyone smelled like socks there wasn't a single fly to justify it.

daryl was nice today! ha ha as usual bothering me and giving me evil looks whenever i try to take a photo of him, we eventually dashed off once we found out there wasn't much briefing, and that we were actually free to go ha ha he sent me off my train (actually cos mine came first, and his left when we were nearing the MRT xD) mmm there's so many nice things about chingay, the people. the laughter and the fun we share, gotta love the skyrunners xo :D

I DO NOT LOVE SATURDAYS
ok maybe... too drastic but why would i not love saturday? originally i intended to wake up at 8 (which i did, i slept at 4:00) to go to the market/postoffice/bakewareshop to do my shopping cos i had chingay at 1:00 (chingay was another thing, i thought it was on sun but ps david enlightened me last night and told me it was today ?!*^#) and dad actually took my shopping list and went to buy all the items for me right before he flew off to KL! aww, i feel so pampered, of cos i still had to pick up the parcel later on but it just meant that i could rest more, thank you so so much daddy!

there was also martin yan & rachael ray this morning! they have very fascinating onscreen/off screen tv personalities which add great atmosphere to my living room.


i really must get ready for chingay now, wish me luck i hope i don't have the face of mr.grumpy till 6pm, and hopefully my skin gets better. it must be because i'm eating too much chilli, or not eating enough fruits i have dissolved pimples, and blackheads and all that nonsense running a olympic match on my face.

May i not procrastinate and start reading page 3 of the pilgrim's progress (crosses finger) (dad told me that i actually had a annotated/summarized/easy-to-read version of the book, which i secretly knew, but when i saw the book in my curriculum, i flipped the first page and went "oh... look. Ancient Rome. that should be more interesting") (however, M gave it to me for a xmas present, i'll give it a read and see how it goes)
